[Intro: Papyrus & Sans]
Sans! Sans! Wake up!
(What is it, dude?)
A human has fallen from the surface world
(Really? And you got a bone to pick with him?)
Ugh! No time for puns
(Ah, c'mon, that was a real rib-tickler, ay!)
Ugh! Enough!
(Alright, here we go again)

[Verse 1: Papyrus & Sans]
Welcome to the underground
How was the fall?
If you wanna look around
Give us a call
We don't see humans often
We're happy you just dropped in
I'll be so popular when I show all the monsters what I just brought in

[Pre-Chorus: Papyrus & Sans]
Hey! Papyrus, mind your manners
Can it, Sans, no time for banter
Excuse my brother, he's a bit eccentric
You're just lazy and apathetic!
Call me what you want, I got thick skin
Another bad joke and I'm finished with him!
We are monsters, the awfullest kind
To mess with us takes a lot of spine

No, I asked for a real explanation on why the game is considered "OMG G.O.T.Y WINNER!!" by fans.

As an undertale fan, I can attest to the fact that this is a masterpiece of a game. Three kinds of endings and a whole f**king lot of neutral endings. The story is wild as f**k and it's also very replayable. The battle is really good, the character design is naught if not PEAK, and also you can understand the masterpiece that is If Undertale Was Realistic.

The music is a bit weird tbh. I like the elder scrolls and the doom soundtrack more

How the f**k do you dislike Toby fox music. Listen to Hopes and Dreams and then we'll talk, because I dont know a soul who doesn't like any ut/dr songs.

didn't say they disliked it, just that it wasn't their preference

All of these are present, and I may even say even in a BETTER format in RDR2. Loved ones of ppl u murdered literally remember you months after u kill the npc and long forget about it. They will show spite towards you, and some may even try to seek vengeance against you. Personally, I found that really cool and realistic.

RDR2 this, RDR2 that. Undertale has changed plenty of people for the better. It's sad as hell at times. Your actions can have REAL consequences, LITERAL game changes that you cannot undo unless youre willing to f**k with your computer itself. You get attached to characters, even minor NPCs you see once and barely ever again. The lore goes so deep people are probably STILL looking for all of it. The universe is so expansive there's a whole other GAME to explore every possibility. Realism and enemy strategy ain't shit when you're a tiny heart in a box of bullet-hell dying to a f**king fish. Killing and sparing are actually difficult. Getting different endings is a CHALLENGE. And the fourth wall breaks, dear god the fourth wall breaks are BRILLIANT. Not to shit on RDR2 but I feel like undertale takes the cake.

But, if are done with undertale, you should definitely try rdr2. I loved it.

And, after thoroughly reviewing your opinions, I beilve it would be a good decision to buy it.

However, it will likely not surpass RDR2 in many aspects. The breathtaking open world, the amazing, memorable characters in your gang, who don't feel like simple robots, it's...really hard to beat. I haven't seen ANY game yet top it. Maybe Undertale will get some elements better, like the random encounters (they were kind of dry in RDR2), but it likely won't have some of the things that made me love games like Oblivion (specifically the Dragonborn DLC), the GTA games, and especially RDR2.

TLDR; I find open-world games with loads of memorable stories, characters, and quests more fun to play, rather than more simple, level-based games.

They entertain me for a much longer period, as they take really long to complete fully. With Undertale, I bet you could just binge it in 2-3 hours. It hardly hits 250 megabytes in storage space. I'm not saying I don't really want it because I think it is bad, but I'm hesitant to buy it because there is barely anything to do after you complete the short story. Don't think it's worth the 20 bucks it costs on the Microsoft Store.

Incorrect, friend. There is more. A random value is assigned to you every new game that adds new secrets and events. To do a neutral, pacifist, genocide, a second neutral, and a second pacifist, getting you every main route, you've got 20 hours of game and possible more. It's not a one day game, really. I only did neutral and pacifist and it took me WEEKS. also there's fun optional things like the abandoned quice and the piano room

Also, the shootouts in missions are fkin amazing. There are all sorts of cover animations and mechanics, people stumble and die realistically, and the melee kill animations are very varied, but brutality is kinda minimal compared to BF1 and Doom series. The npc also shoot accurately, strategies ways to take you down, etc.

You are missing out. It’s a masterpiece of a game and you’ll never look at a game the same way again. Not only is the gameplay fun, with having a rlly unique battle system, but your choices matter. Theres almost 100 different endings depending on who you kill and don’t kill. Because unlike most RPGs, u have the choice to kill or spare each enemy. That includes bosses. Everyone, from the main villain, all the way down to the most basic enemy, feels like a unique character with their own personality. There’s a ton of funny interactions, secrets, and lore. The music is insane, and the only game that I think has better music is Deltarune. (Which is made by the same guy and is 5x better in almost every way)

This game will make you laugh, make you cry, shock you, make you feel bad, make u feel great, and it’s just amazing.

Buy it. It’ll be the best $10 u ever spend
