Feeding birds in the winter helps them and is relaxing to watch

Be prepared to feed and water them all year. Once you start, they become reliant on it and forget how to forage naturally. Don't feed them in the winter just to see them starve in the spring.

I have enjoyed feeding them all summer, seeing babies learn to feed themselves
