Thats not how that works. can raid Nintendo of America’s headquarters, sure, but that creates a bad look for America when dealing with foreign businesses. That means companies like Sony and Samsung will also be less likely to sell more of their products to the US. You also cannot raid their facilities in Japan as that would be an act of war on an allied country, and before Trump’s tariff shenanigans, Japan was a close ally and we had good trade deals.
Further more, that makes every other country less likely to trade with us. If we’re willing to raid a foreign company’s holding with no warrant or official reason, that can also happen to every other company and we would lose trade deals, products to sell, money, and customers very easily so they can avoid this. Our GDP would also plummet.
