No . . . Jimmy Kimmel was taken off the air by ABC -- at the insistency of their corporate owner Disney -- for openly and deliberately LYING to the nation about an ongoing murder investigation. Kimmel actually put ABC's broadcast license under threat with his deliberate politically-based open lying and threatened Disney's already shaky bottom line; as Disney is already losing at least a billon dollars per year nowadays.

No he wasn’t. The people who employ him made a business decision. Two of the biggest franchise holder of abc decided that they had enough of Kimmels and bullshit and dropped the show from their lineup. Disney and abc had no real option.
The 20th amendment applies to the government, not to private companies and businesses.
