The right have become the new cancel culture left

Effective immediately, I have resigned from @WICS_ABC20
after being SUSPENDED for airing a non-partisan tribute to Charlie Kirk this past Friday.

Many in the mainstream media have been fired or punished for mocking his assassination. I believe I am the first to be targeted for honoring him on air.

My resignation is guided by values that are essential to who I am, which I refuse to set aside in order to keep a job. I choose my faith and love of country, and always will.

Thank you, Springfield. My home. My community. My people. ❤️

Sure, there's a few crazies on our side, but with you guys the crazies are mainstream. Or did you forget when Kamala openly agreed that Trump's a fascist? Or when Biden said he'd take him behind the bleachers and beat him up? Or when pretty much any of your thought leaders are calling conservatives Nazis, and how it's okay to kill Nazis in the same breath?

By the way, I am not on the left and I don't believe in broadly lumping all conservatives with far-right nazis. Also Biden's comment is rather violent. I also don't condone Tyler Robinson's actions, killing someone just for saying bad things is deranged and this is a lesson to learn to prevent another tragedy like this from happening again.

Then you understand what I'm saying. Btw, sorry for assuming you were on the left, the hate we get from them has gotten to the point where I just assume that people defending the crazies celebrating a murder are on the (far, though not uncommon) left.

Point is, from what I've seen, the cancel culture on the left is mostly "silence anyone who hurts my feefees" while the one on the right is mostly "I don't want people celebrating murder to teach my kids, or work in a hospital" or similar such things.

Well many on the right are canceling people just for hurting their feefees over jokes too now.

In fairness, there's a difference between making an edgy joke, and making a joke mocking a guy who was just murdered by a radical leftist.

Well, it's edgy alight, and I'm certainly not a fan. But, again, I don't see that these people are celebrating self-deletion, unlike a lot of people on the "empathetic" left that are actively celebrating the murder of someone on the other side of the political aisle by a radical leftist.

Well Kathy Griffin's "joke" was very sick and wasn't funny at all and she did deserve to be fired from her job for acting so deranged but I think canceling everyone just for having a stance you don't like and merely saying they don't want to mourn Charlie Kirk for he had some harmful stances is petty and repaying evil with evil.

Bill Gates isn't the CEO of Microsoft anymore, Steve Ballmer is, also I understand why companies like Microsoft, Delta, etc. are firing staff for celebrating Charlie Kirk's death for celebrating a death doesn't look good on a company but the right are acting like snowflakes and wanting people fired just for making jokes or merely saying they don't want to mourn Charlie's death for they don't like certain very shitty things he said even though they aren't celebrating his death or even condoning it.

We learned this from Democrats.
