All is quiet after Holocaust
Cold winds blow down empty streets
Empty windows rimmed with frost
Snow piles over rubble in sheets
Shattered glass strewn over the ground
Lighted by a hollow shining moon
The stars seem to gaze with a frown
On an empty burning night
Fires burning down the lane
Mothers, children run away
Rain showers, pours down
As people flee from the town
Fire burns down to ash
The new sunrise brings no joy
Wind whips a bitter lash
Chilling bones like a toy
Across a continent and an ocean,
Oh so far away
There's a different kind of emotion
Dread comes with another day
A new year has come and gone
Nobody even knows
Days pass in stolid silence
Lonely tumbleweeds blow
Away from their dim suffering
Others live a vivid hell
As they march on, knees shaking
Others are showered with shells
An empty burning night
Oh really i was right
The world would end zipped tight
No future in siiighttt
Fires burning all around
Smoke filling the world's sight
Buildings falling, burning down
As all the leaders say it's right
Hate, hate, fills the air
They say it'll end --
When and where?
Death becomes a Godsend
Finally the war is won
That's what everyone says
But look at all the coffins
Does war really pay?
I know it'll never stop
But at least I can try
Clean our minds, clean our hearts
Try for a brand new start
Fighting will never end
But I'll try my best
Or maybe I'll give up
Let my life slip by...
Slip by, fade away --
Nobody hears the words I say
I don't care anymore
Life's not all it's cracked up to be
Green grass and running water are memories long gone
Only darkness and it feels so wrong
Where did warm sunshine go?
I felt it just a moment ago...
