Empathy is a function of the brain, not an emotion. It is a part of the human condition, granted to us by the Divine Creator, meant to guide us in our relationships within the Land of the Living. It is biblical. Like my employer always said, "We can't teach empathy. Either a person has it or he doesn't." Implying that lack of empathy is brain deformation. Trump's manipulation of the emotional wellbeing of our nation during this time of worldwide suffering goes against Divine Nature. Sorrow is a heavy, heavy burden. I am overwhelmed with sorrow. Bad things are happening to millions of people in other countries. Grandiose memorials do not indicate any meaningful level of American spiritual consciousness. There needs to remain a separation of church and state. And Americans need to become more aware of world events. We have isolated ourselves and think we know it all. So, I force myself to keep slapping that blue buzzer when I know that not only is empathy lacking in many brains, but so is the capacity for logic. All my warnings and words are for nothing is humanity is dysfunctional in certain areas of the brain. THAT is the last frontier of evil. The places of the mind are being corrupted. And, through the gift of free will, humanity is allowing it. My sorrow is crossing over into rage. Emotions are emotions: it's what we do with them that matters.
