I thought I'd seen some wild stupidity at the range in the military but the craziest stuff at a range are civilians. Not even noobs because their so shy/cautious. It's the ones who's identities are based on gun culture. They speak with authority too which is bad for ppl new to firearms.
I knew a firearms instructor who accidentally shot his own hand handling an apparently loaded hand gun. Someone who supposedly 100% knew and followed the range rules and fire arms safety rules. He must have not been on his A game that day.
Honestly he never was. Firearm safety is super simple and people should not be afraid of firearms. It's cliche but it's so true. Guns do not kill people, people do. Never in the history of humanity did a gun go off without human interaction.
