the mainline, which i had spoken with another user, is that the song’s message is told from the flower’s perspective, as that they wish to become more than just a flower. they sing their wishes and woes away each day, hoping to become more with what they loved most. as like humans, it gets harder to live on as you age, so that’s why i implicated that it gets harder to photosynthesize each day for the flower, acknowledging that they are growing old. when the flower dies, their last dying wish was that they wanted to be more than a measly flower, and they wanted to be with the people that they loved most as they too cared for them in return.
