Note: The Soviet Union was the second best country in the world during the cold war, arguably the best. It did not suck. You know what sucks right now? Modern Russia. It can hardly fight Ukraine. The Russian Empire wasn't bad though. You can consider the states of USSR and the Russian Empire crap if you consider human rights.
