4. Modern Interpretations
From an archaeologist’s journal (handwritten, fragmented):
"…every ruin shows toppled statues… faces scratched… yet some remain intact… perhaps… an old fear… not reverence… eclipse offerings…"
From a remote village diary:
"…at night we leave food… not for blessing… but to sate its gaze… the elders remember… tales of the black one…"
5. Hidden Guardian Form
In the deepest chamber, faint glyphs show:
"…before shadow… protector… scales of dawn… roar of life… watchful eyes…"
Fragmented text nearby:
"…light and shadow… two sides… one being… the name lost… children whisper of it…"
Carvings on the walls:
"…once worshipped… now feared… the hand that led darkness… unknown… yet… felt in the cold wind…"
6. Cryptic Notes
Symbols etched in corners resemble a mix of draconic runes and primitive glyphs, some scratched out.
Some texts are partially worn away, leaving “…bl__k tr__ant… ” or “…f__ed by …”
Certain passages are deliberately corrupted, suggesting knowledge meant to be hidden:
"…the mighty one w__lks… sh__dows… devours… names…"
