-you know... really give it a good butcher's. Ayuh, for the last 10 years, those favorite conservative
news outlets o' your'n made nary a peep over your boy's
behavior on Twitter, in public, pretty much any chance
he gets to open his burger hole, etc... 'Course, they would never willingly fess up, give away
the game... but... see now, that's done brought us
back around to the pesky li'l matter of what shows up
in the stark light of conservative media takin' exception
to Gavin Newsom's Twitter use all sudden like. One o'
them gritty little realities of social acceptability is if a
behavior is "childish," "mean," "juvenile," "foolish,"
"cruel," "unserious," "imbecilic" when one person does
it, it's "childish," "mean," "juvenile," "foolish," "cruel,"
"unserious," "imbecilic" no matter who does it. To their credit, they did something the mainstream
media wouldn't, still hasn't, probably won't -and that
thing is, rather than pollyannaishly operate on benefit
of the doubt, they realized, accepted y'all are
impervious to rational arguments, facts, hard data &
analysis, logic, obvious hypocrisy, etc. I mean... I
really gotta applaud the astuteness, shrewdness of
conservative media in having its common audience
pegged for dimwitted, emotion-consumed, fear-addled
children who only respond to cruelt, demagogic,
paranoic, grade-school caliber oratory, being gullible
enough to fall for every bit of stupidity what comes
a-poopin' out the 4-chan or Rogan or Carlson, et. al. Now here we are with Gavin Newsom behaving like
Dear Leader on social media and y'all's newsfolk're
freaking out, going full-court hypocrite and trying to
Sith Mind-trick you into jumping on Newsom with both
jackboots because they know he's throwing punches
that'll land, using tactics that'll resonate with their
audience. And if there's one thing conservative media
can't risk, it's most definitely the mortal peril of having
their audience wake up, start thinking without being
guided by their deceiving hand. Sooo yeah, you can deny it, tell
yourselves that's not what's
happening, that the people you
trust to spoon-feed you right
wing pablum would never use
you like that but facts are facts
and no matter how you slice it,
we're still talking about a case of
ten years of complicit okie-doke
appended by a sudden reversal of
opinion on the exact same behavior.
