Maybe not everything is to blame on Democrats and Democrat policies, the cost of real estate in general just got more expensive as cities became more populus and are the epicenters of economic prosperity where all the jobs are and are therefore where people want to live and with limited land in cities the supply of housing doesn't meet the demand of housing. Flyover states are not as populus as major cities and are not where all the jobs are therefore people aren't inclined to live in those areas and that's why housing is so cheap there.

Well Democrat cities do let undocumented migrants in droves without basic checks and balances but I still stand by my observation that economic factors are also part of the problem. There are large homelessness problems in these cities, some are migrants, some are American-born citizens. While some bad policies from Democrats are partly to blame, it's not the only factor and solely blaming Democrats is a short-sighted view that also smacks of scapegoatism.
