Ol Ray Farhner built the Boothill Express and several other custom cars that Revell and Monogram made in to models. The Boothill Express was a horse-drawn hearse from the 1880s that he painted Kandy Tangerine House of Kolor and put an old iron 392 Hemi in that you could see through the glass sides. I think Daryl Starbird in Mulvane, KS wound up with it, and now Daryl Jr. owns it.
Some promoter from California told Ray that he was getting in his way, and asked him what it would take to get him out of his way. Ray scratched a number on a piece of paper, showed to the guy, and the guy wrote him a check. Ray told me years later he should have asked for twice what he got since the promoter paid him so fast!
