Design:
Resembles a large Venus flytrap, 1.5–2 meters wide when fully opened.
Deep green leaves with jagged, reddish edges that look like teeth.
Small, shadowy eyes on the “head” of the trap that give it a sinister expression.
Thick, root-like base anchors it to the ground; it cannot move.
When idle, leaves are closed; it only opens to strike.
Behavior:
Ambush predator. Waits silently for prey to approach, then snaps shut with incredible speed.
Uses its large “mouth” to intimidate anything that comes too close.
Dex Entry (example):
"Trapleaf waits patiently for its prey. It can lie still for days, striking without warning. Many travelers mistake its gaping mouth for a hollow log."
