Although most people would tell you to start with Y0. I disagree because it’s pretty much a glorified spinoff. I’d start with Kiwami, the remake of the first game.

It follows a story line from 2005 to present day with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (AKA Yakuza 8)

There are some spin-offs like the Judgment series with detectives and Like a Dragon: Ishin with samurai, or the latest Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
