This how it feels to buy anything more than 5 dollars

If there’s one fear I have, it’s got to be Chrometophobia. I’m like Ebenezer Scrooge.

I bought Haste on Steam yesterday for $14. I legitimately think it’s the best game of 2025 and is so criminally underrated. And even despite how much fun I’m having with it, handing over the $14 (technically 20 for a Steam gift card) was excruciating.

I think I lose years of life expectancy worrying about how much I’m spending at the grocery store. And it’s never over $60.

Admittedly, this is better than having a spending problem and pissing away money. It’s just really difficult to get over the hardwiring in my brain, and it adds unnecessary stress to purchases I would make regardless. I can only imagine what it will feel like when I build my PC.
