if that's the case, then why is Finland, a practitioner of democratic socialism, the happiest country on earth?

They’re a mix economy. They’re not “democratic socialists”

the Nordic countries share many characteristics with the common definition of democratic socialism, and socialism in general. prime examples are Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
also before you start crying about China or North Korea, they're communist countries, not socialist countries.

What are the population numbers in the Nordic countries? And they don’t have minimum wages and they give tax credits to corporations. All countries have mixed economies and all countries are socialistic, even the United States. Socialism is supposedly a stage that’s supposed to usher in communism

They have collective bargaining. No individual bargaining though. You are owed what your union bosses say. This is why I don’t like unions.

We do have more choice here. I don’t like the unions so I can work for a nonunion company…. Every economic system its advantages and disadvantages. Socialism causes more problems than it solves. I like decentralized economic systems. Socialism is a centralized economic system that uses government power to distribute resources/income. That’s a problem for many people who want different things in life
