Supposedly Gov. Abbott has the authority to remove these people from office if they don’t return to Austin in a timely manner. He threatened to do it a few days ago, but, so far, it doesn’t seem like he’s actually going to follow through with it.
You’re right. I just read where he did that, a few minutes ago. I didn’t see it yesterday. I’m glad that he did that. Hopefully they’ll arrest them all and bring them back to Austin.
I also thought he said that he was going to charge them. $500 a day, not to be paid with political money. So there's things starting to stack up, so we'll just have to wait and see how long the Democrats want to play this game.
That’s what I heard as well. A couple of the commentators on Real America’s Voice said that they could be charged with bribery if they accept political money to pay the fines instead of using their own personal funds. I saw where a few of them decided to come back to Austin. Either today or yesterday.
Lol 😆
It's just like my City's City Council fighting district voting and keeping it tied up in court for five years now. And this year the external lawyer's cost for the City Council's position is two million dollars, paid for by the taxpayers of course
