Yugoslavia ‘s Bogdan Raditsa rendered this crucial phrase as “Useful Innocents”, but a more direct translation of “Koristne Budale” into English yields “Useful Fools” or “Useful Idiots”.
Credit for the term useful idiots was eventually attributed to Lenin, rightly or wrongly so.
