you do realize you can still play the old games from back then minus some online ones but you get my point.

there are old games that were ported on current consoles and still on pc that people enjoyed back then

What if I want to play a game that isn't produced or sold anymore? Tons of old games are being delisted from digital stores, so if I want to play them I have to either a, buy an overpriced copy from eBay, or b, sail the seas, which isn't something I like doing.

tough luck better stick with whats available and maybe then we'll actually get games that aren't removed forever by greedy corpos

I pretty much only play games that are more recent, and this was just hypothetical. The point is that there are tons of games that you just can't really play anymore, unless you want to do two very annoying things. And lots of PC ports of games don't even work well anyways. And if your response to older games getting effectively destroyed is just "tough luck, do something else" then it's pretty obvious that you don't really care about the older games anyway.
