Hecate got banned for 2 days for linking a post that contained a slur. It was then changed to 3 weeks for seemingly no reason.

Yeah, hence my question, because you can get arrested over tweets in the UK.

This is just the first page when you look at the news page. You can ignore the Saudi Arabia article. I’m not sure if it’s gotten better, but hate speech laws are much more strict there. Here you can say too much with no punishment, there you can’t even make a joke without the risk.

Here you can still get arrested over a tweet but only if it’s a credible threat.
