maybe because it was a relatively singular event. Islamic law ALLOWS children to be married to a guy of any age. it's not uncommon for prepubescent girls to be married to 50yo guys.
oh well child marriage is allowed in 37 US states, does this mean we can just go and judge Americans for marrying children?
I shouldn't even need to explain to you that stereotyoes exist and shouldn't genuinely shape your views
yes, yes it does. legal ≠ right. If i saw any american married to a child id be beyond pissed.
'stereotypes' while up to 34% of women in muslim countries are married before 18.
if you are really concerned about child marriage, you should be addressing the issue itself, and expressing opinions against the child marriage problem, not a religion with nearly 2 billion followers.
really you're using it as an excuse to hate. Islam is not a "source" of child marriage at all. if it was, those percentages would be over 90%. basically the source of child marriage in those countries is culture and nothing linked to religion.
in general, maybe. but about child marriage problem specifically, it's not. child marriage has nothing to do with Islam, and it comes from unrelated things, not religion.
