Yeah. Again, It’s based on what Parliament deems unsafe. Today it’s nsfw sites, tomorrow it could be social media, research papers, outside news sources, or even online libraries. The problem is not what it is right now, it’s what it has the potential to become. No one’s going to fight it right now besides citizens because they’ll look like a degenerate for doing it. Banning NSFW sites and violent games like GTA is seen as a political W most of the time. The problem with depends on how legislation and policy is worded and put into action. We can look at Mastercard for this. They were only told to get certain games off steam, they followed up by targeting itch. Mastercard definitely “won’t” abuse this in the future for personal gain at all.

The problem is not what’s being banned, it’s how it’s being banned. It sets a precedent for corporations and our government to control everything we do under the threat of taking benefits away and freezing our money at any time.
