Actually, while they said they were socialist, they really weren't. Socialism/communism is about putting the power to the people, to the workers across all borders. Nazism was about extreme militarism and believing that germans were the superior race.

Extreme militarism and believing you and your system of government are superior. Like I said, it's a variation. Nationalism and Globalism are the biggest differences. Both attempted to control the economy, media, and free speech—world dominance. Fascism came from socialism. Mussolini was a socialist. He wrote for and edited socialist newspapers.
