Valos is one of the few Coritans who live to this day. However, this one is different. Unlike most others, he was actually exiled by the Coritan Race after rejecting all Coritan Cultures and their god for another god he thinks of as the savior and almighty. That being, Decay, the same being that made Kyoki and Akogare how they are. He worshipped Decay and immersed himself with its Corrupted Matter, which he went through the Corruption Process. His skin bleached, he lost some mass, and his eyes changed from their glowing whites to dark purples. To show his devotion even more, he let the corruption take over a part of his face so he may feel more connected to it. In this new form, he felt much stronger and more "divine" as he puts it. Due to these actions however he was exiled from the planet by the Empire for Heresy, Treachery, and Blasphemy. After being off planet however, he actually went off to become Decays Herald, where he brought the corruption to various worlds and tries to "gift" them this gift either willingly or by force. Before he became corrupted however, he was a Coritan Priest whom he had teached the writings and stories of Tronussaker and the backstory of Correllus. However after a dream he had, it was about Decay being the one to liberate everyone with its 'Divine Gift" which being the Corrupted Substance. Due to this vision, Valos gave up all priest teachings and actually began to research the Corrupted Substance and what it may do, even injecting his core with it. Now he is like this, a hulking tyrant who will do anything to bring the gift of Decay to all who meet him.
