The Parade - The War Bonus Chapter 3.5

On the planet Andromeda, in the Asteri system, one of the most awaited events of the year came by, the Great Parade. A 7 day long festival in which the inhabitants of Andromeda commemorate the history of their planet.
Posters could be seen all around the cities, advertising the long awaited Parade, with a lady in a red dress in the center of the poster, with the writings “Get ready for the Great Parade coming next week! Featuring Madame Roxanne and her daughter Vivienne as the magicians for the event!”
The rest of the poster showed various images and depictions of the history of Andromeda, surrounded by other decorations.
Roxanne was nothing short of an excellent magician, or mage. She would be able to lead the entirety of the magical effects all by herself, although her magic mainly consists of illusions and mirages, she is still a great magician nonetheless. She worked in a sort of theatre, where she would do magic shows, usually for kids, and because of her love, kindness and protective nature towards children, she is regarded with the nickname ‘The Mother’.
Do not misunderstand, she is a Bloodfiend, an Original Kindred, she has killed numerous humans, but only just what was needed to feed her Kin.
Earthling in origin, long, very long ago she travelled the stars to reach a new planet, to start again after a terrible incident that happened on Earth.
She had a daughter a little time after, Vivienne.
Vivienne was also an excellent magician, having learnt and inherited her magic from Roxanne.
Although she partially followed her mother in the realm of magic shows and festivals, she decided to achieve greater success, studying medicine and discovering she could manipulate blood to have certain effects, even transforming it into alcohol.
These studies lead her to become the CEO of the largest medical company on Andromeda. Although she usually doesn't wear suits and ties, she enjoyes wearing the traditional outfit that her mother gave her, which she always wears when she helps out Roxanne during her shows. Vivienne would be considered what humans call ‘a tomboy’, and such is reflected in her way of acting.

The first day of the Parade had commenced, squares and streets flooded with people, going to stands to buy something or to play some game.
There were stands for food, many of them actually, and multiple stands selling theme merchandise. There were also themed stands selling resources for camping and building. This day of the Parade celebrated the arrival of the first settlers on Andromeda, and as such it is one of the most important days of the Great Parade.
Roxanne and Vivienne weren't called for magical shows, yet, but to handle many magical effects. Roxanne went a step forward and made a semi-constant rain of confetti, non polluting confetti, how's that? Well, if you'd closely examine one and hold one in your hand, you'd see it turn into a red mist.
“Good thing they don't look at the confetti on the floor…” Vivienne commented. Roxanne reassured her, “Don't be so worried dear… they'll just excuse it as simply non polluting confetti!~ Which is partially true… although I don't believe they would approve what they're made of…”
When night fell on the Parade, Roxanne went out of her way to recreate the night sky that the first settlers would have seen, entirely made out of blood. Even with light pollution, her starry night was visible clearly, as if lights weren't even invented.
A part of the festival was dedicated to recreating through a large theatre, many stories about the first settlers, about their discoveries and their experiences.
Vivienne helped them with magical effects to make it a more immersive experience.
Roxanne and her daughter were chosen for the Great Parade because of their talent, and their weird property of being able to do very large scale magic without getting tired. It also helped with marketing, at least for some.

The second day dawned upon Andromeda, and as such the streets flooded in a different way. It was much more clean, and the stands had less food, and more stands about the history of Andromeda and information about it. The “Settler's Stands” selling camping stuff were gone.
Roxanne and Vivienne were to not produce any confetti. Instead Roxanne focussed on making more decorations, and making the city feel more like it was at the time of the settlers.
A square of the city was given to Roxanne, just to transform it into a central part of the first settlers camp, so that people could have an immersive experience with actors which made the whole experience much more immersive.
This day focussed on the election for the leader of the settlers, and that man that was chosen as the leader would eventually become the first King of Andromeda.
By night, the Theatre was once again used to play out this event, and various other experiences of this man before he was elected as leader.
Vivienne once again helped with magical effects and also gave the actors a more believable appearance.
Roxanne couldn't help since she had to focus on keeping the square she had been given and the night sky, along with everything else she had done.
Everyone believed she had some sort of red magic, some even called her the Red Witch, but those were mostly haters and people who thought she was evil, little did they know that “red magic” and “red mist” was actually blood. Roxanne, having learnt all of the blood magic types, was able to make her illusions actually physical, using the Hardblood Arts, which she almost mastered. And by using her own magic she would cover the red terrain and illusions with colors that fitted it. I don't think people would like red grass.
She also used Fireblood Arts to make her starry night glow and outshine all other lights, while making it believable.
All of this at the same time. Unlike other blood magic, her magic, the Charmevène Arts, needed a lot more concentration and focus. Not even Vivienne knows how she does it.
Although when Roxanne was conducting a show for the kids, she was briefly seen shedding tears, before she hid it with her magic.

That night… when Vivienne and Roxanne returned home, Roxanne told Vivienne that she and her Kin would need to lead the Parade by themselves.
“W-what?? Mom?? I can't do all of that by myself!! And why? What do you need to do?”
Roxanne sighed and replied “Im going back home… sweetie…”
“What? What do you mean??” Vivienne questioned her mother repeatedly, but always got the same answer. “I have things to do…”
When the situation calmed down, Vivienne asked her once again as her mother was preparing her luggage.
“... Oh dear… I have to return back to where I came from… Family business” she replied, giving her a warm smile.
“But don't worry, I'll be back after the Parade is over… or at least I'll try to be there before the last day”
She closed her luggage and started walking towards the front door
“Mom! Wait!”
She stopped and looked back as Vivienne hugged her.
“Don't go mom… please… I can't, even with the help of the others… I can't do what you do!”
“Oh Vivi…You can… or else you wouldn't be my daughter, no?~ Come on, give mom a kiss”
And as Vivienne kissed her mother's cheek, Roxanne vanished in a red mist.

Roxanne had already booked an intergalactical flight to Earth and was on her way to reach the station when suddenly a gang of what seemed to be her haters appeared.
“What can I do for you kind gentlemen?” Roxanne said
“You could bleed out in the streets and die your motherf**ker!” One of the haters replied
“Mmnm, no no, you can't talk like that to your elders~”
One of the haters lunged at her with a knife
“Oh? Coming in for a hug? Okay!~”
She said as she opened her arms wide, but as the hater stabbed her, suddenly she vanished, and then he got stabbed with five knives in the back, oh sorry, not knives, claws.
Roxanne threw him towards a group of the haters while she vanished once again, slowly picking on each of them, slitting their throats and slicing parts of them off.
Then she reappeared in the middle to grab her luggage.
“It was nice meeting you!~ See you next time!” She said, when one of the haters which was hiding pulled out a phasular pistol and shot it at her.
She simply looked back and deflected the bullet with only her claws, then she vanished. All around that one hater, the ground shifted, as he saw the corpses of his friends rise up and walk towards him.
There's no need to say that the man was terrified and about to run away, but as soon as he turned around, five claws went through his face. And she vanished again.
“As I was saying before being rudely interrupted… Have a nice day all of you that are still alive!~ Phew… no blood on my dress!~”
She giggled and then continued to walk to the station.
