Why does minecraft expect us to pay for low quality mods i don’t understand

microsoft's gotta scam us outta of money somehow.

I mean, since it isn’t on Java’s main menu to begin with i don’t really care but I agree with this for the bedrock players

modrinth is way better then corporate run curseforge

I’ve always used CF, if you don’t like it that’s fine but this is my opinion

I dont like curseforge bc some mods on there are just malware. Plus a lot of importent mods like iris and sodium have moved to modrinth bc of problems with curseforge.

im a mod dev and the curseforge developer experience is horrible

forge itself requires overwolf which is basically malware, I personally would never want that on my pc

Minecraft marketplace is just the evil twin of the steam workshop

As a bedrock user I say that it depends on the mods.

the only mods I ever bought are:
Advanced movement add-on (Highly recommend)
Dwellers Add-on (Make my world a nightmare I recommend)

there are also some very good free add-ons especially lite versions of add ons those are goated.
A minecraft movie add on (Adds OP weapon)
Dragonfire lite (I had a dragon named Spyro :])
Poisonous potato add on (Makes Poisonous potatos OP)

I also use forge sometimes but most mods are outdated and don't work.

So in conclusion its not bad if you find the right packs.
(Also I really want actions and stuff so bad!)

I wouldn't know, because I don't play bedrock
