More reasons that are at least somewhat valid, yes. Most of the reasons I seen people hate GaG had absolutely nothing to do with the game itself.

"But its retroslop!!!1!11!" so basically forsaken as a whole would be retroslop in this context. Stop assuming a game is intentionally trying to promote bad game design specifically because it uses the studs texture.
