Complexity doesn’t equal to consciousness. Just cuz something is hard to calculate doesn’t mean it’s self-aware. Because consciousness isn’t just about reacting to things, it’s about experiencing, having a sense of self, purpose, emotion, morality. All that. No matter how advanced robots get, they’re still running on code written by people. That’s not the same as truly 'being’ which is what we define as us !
But I agree with you at the same time I do see your point - it’s very possible humans are just another type of robot in some other way. God will always be a very wishy washy topic for me and I don’t like speaking on things I’m uncertain about, you know this. uhm ,,, but know I do understand where you’re coming from. I don’t doubt any of it.
My point is, you can program a robot to say 'I’m sad' but it doesn’t feel sadness. It mimics it, it mimics US. This we KNOW. Questioning humans as its own thing??? I can’t say much about that because you’re right, we know too little. However I will stand by the fact robots are not conscious because we have no other definition for “conscious” other than the one we created, so questioning what we have created to that extent is useless because you are only questioning the unknown.
