I don't know, the Second Reich had Prussia (which, by the way, was what founded the German Empire in the first place) and managed to fight off Russia and keep both France and Britain at bay for a couple years. All Germany has to say for it is their good economy.
Yes, my fellow historian, the Second Reich was defeated. But modern Germany never went to war with Russia, France, Britain, and the United States at the same time.
Disclaimer: America was late, after Russia pulled out, to be fair.
still, the weimar republic has aspects of modern day germany, and the 3rd reich (if u count it as weimar republic as it never "dissolved" in the traditional sense.) as you said was at war with the UK US France, Italy and russia (near the end)
I'm not comparing the Third Reich. That was an ugly state.
The German Empire had a better military than Russia, France, Britain, or the United States. today Germany has a fantastic economy but doesn't have as big of an army, although, the Third Reich did set up an army for WWII pretty quick. Who's to say Germany today can't?
After the nazis lost power (and subsequently removed as a party) Germany still could rearm, but they CANNOT unite with Austria, as this would be very powerful and could lead Germany to go imperialist again. germany are rearming rn, but as defence bc of russia's invasion of the ukraine
