Bc the knight knows a lot about kris, they know that there's a mini dark fountain inside them that allows them not to die when soulless.
So they also know that kris is kinda an ally, bc they can posses them easily.
So in the end, the knight didn't kill kris bc they know that kris is a useful tool, and they didn't kill susie or ralsei bc they knows that those two can help kris survive.
