That was in the 60s and '70s. Although there was some of that BLM rioting, luckily I don't believe as close as I used to to that, although I was a neighborhood away then too.
We're a mixed bag, more mellow than the news likes to dramatize. Political partis didn't matter as much before, not until the more recent polarization. It's more just a parties names politicians attach themselves to for the sake of garnering attention and funding. See how easily some of them switch.
I really do wish Bella Abzug got elected mayor. She would have been awesome.
