Welp the SCOTUS is
meeting today to make
a decision concerning
lower courts' ability
to issue nationwide
injunctions on
consitutionality
cases. I know... "What does that have to do with
fiscal responsibility?" Well, for the sake of
argument, let's say a POTUS issues an
Executive Order which is an obvious,
unambiguous, naked attempt to put
Presidential authority above the Constitution. Naturally, there'll be fallout; some segment
of the public -if not its entirity- will be
negatively impacted, be denied constitutional
guarantees under this order. And, of course,
they'll sue to stop its implementation. Enter the lower court Justice who hears the
case, sees its merit and, rather than vacil-
lating over political concerns, acts decisively,
issues the aforementioned nationwide injunction
halting implementation of said E.O. Now, imagine if lower court Justices' ability
to issue nationwide injunctions is removed;
the per instance cost of Constitutional Right
denial/deprivation is $50k. Let that sink in... -stripped of authority
to issue said injunction, some segment
of the public will be legally owed a monetary
pay-out, the lower courts' ability to minimize
the bleed eliminated. So the real question is this:
if Dear Leader & his cronies
"love America," want what's
best for it, why does it
look so much like they're
doing everything they
can to set up conditions
which will literally
bankrupt it?
