I actually read a book "How to Train Your Kitten"... I only needed to know about the squirt bottle technique 😁

I agree. The squirt bottle is usually pretty effective and lets them know that you mean business if you use it. Most of the cat experts that I’ve seen on tv (or online) recommend that particular method.

I also use it on my dog. It's important to have the bottle set on stream, not spray...the hard stream. And it's important to use it just before, or during, the misbehavior.

I agree. I was fortunate with my last dog. I never had to use a water bottle with her. My current female cat was a different story. Only when she was younger. She doesn’t get into that much trouble now.
