If I am on a jury, the car driver would go free! I would even say the woman blocking the car should pay the driver in civil court!!

You should only be allowed to run over your kidnappers if you have no other way to escape.  If you can't steer left, and you can't steer right, and you can't back up, and the only direction you can move is forward, only then would it be justified.  This car has enough room to back up and go around.

Kidnappers have no rights, why back up you are fearing for your life they may bust in your car, only safe thing to do is accelerate forward and get out of there.
