Well, I have my own translator. It's called a TARDIS.

Why doed that sound familiar

It has a translation circuit/matrix for instant translation of most languages spoken or written in the universe.
In other words, I hear English while Alia hears binary (if that's her native language. At least I think that's how it works)

Then I think she'd hear him in binary if he includes her in the circuit. I'm not fully sure how it works (proximity? hard to tell. but there was that one time on a russian submarine, where the crew is hearing russian and the companion english. I believe in another episode the doctor says he hears Gallifreyan. But that's the canon doctor, not mine)

If she csn't understand the language, she'll just hear.disorted wavelengths, but she can understand english, but she has a very rough time speaking it

My OC The Doctor (frisk as a timelord) speaks english.
what I'm saying is the TARDIS translation circut is a field, and as such, will translate the doctor's words so Alia hears binary, but he hears english, and the russian guy russian, etc
