you mean like Target? usually they pay a fine. When I was in college, I worked late/overnights at Target. More than half of the full time overnight crew were undocumented. I asked the HR manager what happened when the IRS finds out, she said, "we pay a fine. That's it. And as long as we report the wages & pay the required taxes, it's not that much of a fine."
