Diamond pickaxe actually unlocks materials you couldn't get before, like obsidian so I'd get that. I wouldn't make a diamond sword, you would be just fine fighting with an iron sword or even a Trident, which isn't too hard to get

If you plan on making something big made out of wood though then a diamond axe might be worth it. It's good for combat too

i’m going to get more iron somewhere and look for more diamonds so i can get some armor too because the village had iron leggings and there was a ruined portal with gold leggings next to it
