Demoncat's slash was caused by Circle, or the Chosen One, in the shapes universe using a UV Cube after Demoncat challenged Circle for killing many other shapes. Demoncat and Ash Foster had hated and tried to kill Circle ever since, but once Circle destroyed Mega Octagon, the siblings became terrified of Circle.
