on a standard controller layout there are two analog sticks, two bumpers and two triggers. you said you often fumbled crouch and sprint often; in a "tactical" control scheme (the second most popular behind the default control scheme) crouching is clicking the right analog stick and sprinting is clicking the left.
get a controller for your laptop and if you seek to play a shooter game with partial controller support (i.e., lacking auto aim, for a version of a game not designed for controller) get a controller companion
why are there *four* fingers on wasd
youre supposed to use *three*
put your pinky on shift/ctrl, your ring finger on a, your middle finger on w and your forefinger on d
and your middle finger will switch between w and s when necessary
yeah no when I read how you had your keys I was like "what the f**k"
cuz everyone I've seen before has their pinky on shift and their first three fingers on AWD
i dont mean to interrupt but i’m no better at fighting games, unless i play mario, kirby or dk in smash bros i have no f**king idea what i’m doing and just press random buttons
