"The bible is 100% true because god did [thing we can't explain yet]"

The scientific method does not start with a conclusion, contrary to Christian belief

“god” is just a temporary placeholder until science comes along and explains something the theists don’t personally understand. Their god used to be responsible for stillborn children, large numb were of boys in the family, infertility, cancer, heart attacks, rainstorms, comets, eclipses, winning a war, losing a war, livestock giving birth, crop failure, crop success, the list is virtually endless. But today well reasoned people understand that their little god had nothing to do with any of these things.

When my class studied world religions, the teacher and students would make fun of and joke about native cultures doing things like rain dances, or Egyptians praying to the sun.

Even when I was a Christian, I never understood how everyone around me put Christianity on a pedestal and acted as if it was different or better than other religions when in reality, it's the same thing.

Being able to take a step back and correctly analyze other beliefs is really interesting. (Especially since doing so as a Christian was "dangerous")

the line between atheism and theophobia runs thin

Impossible to be afraid of something that doesn't exist ... for the record, I'm also not afraid of Thor or Odin or Zeus. Not afraid of leprechauns, fairies, unicorns, or Minotaurs either. Zero fear of alien abduction, Brahma, or Congress passing a Constitutional Amendment on term limiting themselves or giving themselves a pay cut.
