A marksmanship elective athletics offering would be a start.

My main concern would be giving somebody a weapon and then they (because teens get emotions) get angry and then use it

Teachers could be with a single student and watch them then have some sort of thing to make the gun unable to fire remotely

Or like a fake gun or something

Similar to drivers' ed yes. Or the Rifle, Archery, and Shotgun BSA merit badges. All have significant safety and handling instruction as part of the curriculum. You prove to the teacher you are ready to be trusted with the item before you move on to using it. And not just any shlub is approved for instruction, you need NRA and BSA credentials to be an instructor for these badges.

The main goal being to take the black magic and mystery out of guns for youth. Absolutely replace it with respect and understanding of permanent consequence, but take that stigma out of the equation. A handgun is deadly like a vehicle. nobody looks at cars like uncontrollable agents of death like they do guns.

Yea I think honestly this is good

People need to know that when used properly we can all just be chill but weather a car or a gun, you must not let emotions make you do something in anger

Weather road rage or shooting, both are deadly and both can cause permanent damage

I myself have seen, and watched, so many drunk driving, and a lot of other kinds, of PSA's on vehicles

Honestly a gun and a car both are similar

Being drunk while using is a bad idea
The safety features can only do so much

Honestly I think a license might be a good idea

A car hit someone at high speed usually over their entire body, while a gun hits a smaller area

Both can be seriously dangerous but both can be beneficial if used correctly

Cars for transport and stuff

Guns for uhhh, hunting, and other stuff in unaware of

I also think safe storage is important

There's definitely some specific stuff that would need to be determined, but honestly I think we could definitely reduce gun deaths with your idea and stuff

Also we gotta teach people to temporarily make themselves unable to access a gun when in time of mental crisis, because suicides come from temporary issues that if enough time was given would be able to be overcome
