Agreed. A tough job that sees way too many of its employees shot and/or killed each year. An officer once told me while investigating a car accident I was involved in that should have, either injured me severely or killed me outright, but I walked away without a scratch, that he had witnessed so much evil that he was beginning to doubt the very existence of God. The miracle of my survival and good health following the accident led him to tell me that he would never doubt again.
