Guns started in china around 1000 ad, and then into hand held cannons in the 13th century. This technology went the Europe through trade and the mongols in the 13th and 14th century. In the 15th and 16th, they started getting smaller and into the “lock” variety. Later in the 16th, we got muskets, which became huge. In the 1600s, they’re brought to America by colonizers, which leads to America becoming independent about a century later. In the 18th century, rifles were invented, with breech loading mechanisms which were used for the revolution. And in the 20th century, smokeless powder leads to more advances in the guns, which has been leading to modern guns such as Glock 17s and Beretta BRX1s.
