It has come to this: the Government of Israel has just issued an official travel warning for Canada….Canada, the once-safe, supposedly civilized Western democracy. The National Security Council (NSC) has raised the threat level from “No Warning” to Level 2: Potential Threat due to a growing wave of terrorist threats and violent antisemitic attacks across the country.
Let that sink in: Canada is now considered a danger zone for Jews.
In its chilling advisory, Israel’s NSC urges Jews and Israelis in Canada to hide their identity, to avoid wearing visible Jewish or Israeli symbols, and to remain on high alert in public spaces. Why? Because in Justin Trudeau’s Canada, firebombing synagogues, threatening Jewish schools, shooting at Jewish institutions, and calling for violence against Israelis in broad daylight are no longer isolated events—they’re trends.
