I guess some of us weren't raised in the segregation era of schools and restrooms, water fountains, seats on the bus, and seats at restaurants, which I do still believe their is economic and racial segregation in certain situations today. The haves and have nots. The whole wait to be seated thing. But when it boils down to history, it wasn't long ago this happened. And for the whole reparations issue, I don't think the government is obligated to give reperations to individuals they didn't own. Slaves were private property to individuals. When the Native Americans were removed they were property of the government to a point. And the Japanese were never made whole for the camps they were forced into after Pearl Harbor attacks. How much history do we need to unleash and dwell on?
