Ukraine is EU's failed project

ok so this has a lot of historical inaccuracy to unpack
• Ukraine isn't in the EU, or even NATO
• Ukraine gained independence in 1991, while the European Union was formed in 1993

He means Ukraine is the EUs failed project in the same way Afghanistan is the US' failed project, not that it's part of the same assembly

That's still incorrect
• Ukraine preceded the EU.
• The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan did not precede the US, having been founded in 2004.
• A foreign invasion and a civil war aren't the same, as Afghanistan did win against Russia in the sense of not being Russian territory, but is now facing the Taliban.

And even then, the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan, the government that faced Russia, had to fight them back in the 1970s. At such time, the USSR existed, meaning control of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, etc, meaning it COULD invade Afghanistan, which it now can't.
Russia, even if the war ends with Ukrainian victory, will still be able to invade Ukraine.
