Eloquently speaking may get a small number of people far in life, but that small number got far in life for a far longer list of reasons besides eloquently speaking, reasons that the vast majority of us nobodies will be unable to attain. A lot of people naively (but sincerely) believe that they can talk their way or write their way into or out of anything. Maybe a very small minority of people can, but the vast majority of us will someday discover that we really can't.
