"if the EU pays the lowest price for a certain drug, that drug will not cost Americans any more than what the EU pays"
It's only challenging because this barely qualifies as English. So what is daddy Trump's solution? Let Big Pharma raise prices on EU until it matches US rip-off rates? lol
US has virtually no policies that control drug pricing in any meaningful or effective way.
Take insulin for diabetes. It cost between $2 - $10 to manufacture a vial of insulin.
Average American will pay up to $1,000 for it.
Maxes out in Canada at like $80. Pretty much the same in Europe. Because even 800% profit on a vial of insulin still isn't enough for the Big Pharma Shareholders.
This is because their politicians protect their citizens from price gouging. They won't let such drugs in their country at such astronomical prices. Big Pharma capitulates, because they know they're still gonna make money in those markets. Just not as much as American suckers.
"A study found that in 2018, the U.S. spent $28 billion on insulin, while Canada spent $484 million. The average American insulin user spent $3,490, compared to $725 for Canadians. This difference is largely attributed to the lack of price regulation in the U.S., while Canada has policies to control drug pricing"
Not a hard concept to understand.
I often wonder how you shills even sleep at night.
Trump said he wasn't going to tax overtime and tips, but that's exactly what his tax plan does.
Oh no Daddy Trump doesn't lie, does he?
